Growing tips

Surface sow or barely cover the fine seeds (about 3 mm deep) in seed trays, as light aids germination, and keep them cool and slightly moist. Germination takes 14-21 days and can be uneven. Transplant seedlings to 20-25 cm spacing once they have 4-5 true leaves. Grow in full sun, avoid wetting the foliage to prevent mildew, and pinch tips early for bushiness. Plants begin flowering about 60-70 days from sowing; deadhead spent clusters to extend the display.
