Growing tips

Soak seeds overnight, then sow 2-3 cm deep, placing 2-3 seeds per hill with hills or plants spaced 60-90 cm apart. Germination takes 7-14 days in warm soil. Provide a trellis or let vines trail, and water steadily once flowering begins. Harvest fruits young and tender at golf-ball to tennis-ball size, about 55-70 days from sowing; frequent picking keeps the vine productive.
