Sedum adolphii, the Golden Sedum or Golden Glow, is a vigorous, easy succulent with rosettes of thick, pointed, yellow-green leaves that take on warm golden-orange and red blushes in bright sun. It grows on branching, sprawling stems, making it great for hanging pots, ground cover and arrangements. In late winter to spring it bears small white star flowers. Native to Mexico, it is drought-tolerant and very forgiving. It needs bright light, gritty soil and sparing water. In India it grows fast on sunny balconies and rooftops, with shelter from heavy monsoon rains to prevent rot.

Growing tips
In India give it full sun to bring out the golden-orange tones, plant in gritty fast-draining soil and water sparingly; it propagates very easily from cuttings and grows fast, so trim and replant to keep it tidy, and shelter it from monsoon rains.
