Growing tips

Soak seeds overnight, then direct sow 2-3 cm deep, two or three to a pit, with pits spaced about 1 m apart; thin to the strongest. Germination takes 7-10 days in warm soil. Train the vine onto a strong trellis or pergola for straight fruits. Harvest tender gourds about 50-60 days after sowing, picking every few days to keep the vine producing.
