Growing tips

Surface sow the tiny seeds and press in lightly without covering, as they need light to germinate; keep warm and lightly moist. Germination takes 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings 20-25 cm apart. Begin harvesting leaves once plants are 10-15 cm tall, around 60-90 days; pinch regularly and the flavour is strongest just before flowering.
