Growing tips

Soak seeds for a few hours, then sow 2-3 per hill about 2 cm deep, spacing hills 60-90 cm apart on raised, warm soil. Seeds germinate in 5-10 days; thin to the strongest plant. Train on a trellis with fruit slings or mulch fruits off bare ground. Harvest 75-90 days after sowing when fruits smell sweet and the stem slips easily from the melon.
