Morning Glory (Ipomoea purpurea) is a fast-growing, twining annual climber loved for its profusion of trumpet-shaped flowers in purple, blue, pink and white that open fresh each morning and fade by afternoon. Native to the Americas, it grows easily across India, quickly covering fences, trellises and railings with heart-shaped green leaves and a daily show of bloom from the warm season into the cooler months. Simple to raise from seed, it is perfect for fast seasonal screening on balconies and boundaries. It prefers full sun and moderate watering. Note that the seeds are toxic if ingested, so keep them away from children.
