Growing tips

Godetia resents transplanting, so direct-sow seeds about 3 mm deep where they are to grow, or sow into peat pots. Keep at 15-20°C; germination takes 7-14 days. Thin or space seedlings 20-25 cm apart. Avoid over-rich soil and heavy feeding, which produce leaves at the expense of flowers. Plants bloom in roughly 70-90 days from sowing.
