Uses

A delightful ornamental for border edges, rockeries, hanging baskets and container displays. Its long-lasting, cheerful blooms also work well as small cut flowers and add charm to balcony gardens.

Growing tips

Surface sow the fine seeds and press them gently into moist soil without covering, as they need light to germinate; sprouting takes 10-15 days. Start in trays and transplant seedlings 15-20 cm apart at the 4-5 leaf stage. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering; blooms appear in about 70-90 days and continue through the cool season.
