Growing tips

Surface-sow the tiny seeds or barely cover them (about 0.3 cm) in trays; keep moist and warm, as germination is slow at 14-21 days. Transplant seedlings at the 4-5 leaf stage, spacing 20-25 cm apart. Celery needs constant moisture and feeding for tender, non-stringy stalks. Begin harvesting outer stalks and leaves about 100-120 days after sowing.
