Growing tips

<p>Sow seeds about 1 cm deep in seed trays; germination takes <strong>7-14 days</strong>. Transplant sturdy seedlings at the 4-5 leaf stage (about 4 weeks old), spacing 45-60 cm apart. Feed and water steadily for a tight curd, and as the head forms, tie outer leaves over it to blanch and keep it white. Heads are ready about <strong>90-120 days</strong> after sowing.</p>
