Chamaedorea cataractarum, the Cat Palm or Cascade Palm, is a compact, clumping palm that forms a lush bush of slender cane-less stems topped with soft, arching, feathery green fronds. Unlike many palms it has no single trunk, spreading instead into a dense, full clump that makes an excellent indoor and shaded-patio plant. Naturally found along streams, it loves consistent moisture and bright, indirect light, rewarding good care with year-round fresh greenery. Popular as a tabletop to floor-standing houseplant in India, it brings a soft tropical look indoors and helps green up shaded balconies and verandahs.

Growing tips
Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged and place in bright indirect light away from hot afternoon sun. In dry Indian summers, raise humidity by misting or grouping plants to prevent leaf-tip browning.
