Surface-sow or barely cover seeds (about 0.3 cm) in trays; germination takes 14-21 days. Transplant seedlings at the 4-6 leaf stage, spacing 20-25 cm apart. Pinch growing tips early to encourage branching and more buds. Stake tall stems. Blooms appear roughly 120-150 days after sowing, mainly through the cool winter months.
