Crassula pellucida variegata, known as Calico Kitten, is a delicate trailing succulent with small heart-shaped leaves splashed in cream, green and rosy pink. In bright light and cool weather the pink deepens to vivid magenta along the leaf edges, creating a vibrant patchwork. The thin, sprawling stems cascade gracefully, making it a favourite for hanging pots and the edges of arrangements. In spring it bears tiny star-shaped white flowers. The variegated, low-chlorophyll leaves need bright light but some protection from the harshest sun. Easy to propagate and quick to trail, it is a charming, colourful accent succulent.

Growing tips
In India, give bright light with morning sun to deepen the pink, but shield the variegated leaves from scorching afternoon sun. Keep it dry and airy through the monsoon to avoid rot on the thin stems.
