Growing tips

Sow seeds 0.5-1 cm deep in seed trays. Germination takes 5-10 days. Transplant seedlings at 4-5 true leaves (about 4-5 weeks old), spacing plants 45 cm apart. Cool weather is essential, so time sowing for the rabi season. Cut the central head while the buds are still tight and green; leave the plant in place and it will produce smaller side shoots for several more weeks. Heads are usually ready 60-90 days after transplanting.
