Growing tips

<p>Surface-sow the tiny seeds and press in lightly without covering, as they need light to germinate. Sprouting takes 14-21 days at 20-25°C. Transplant or thin seedlings to 30-40 cm apart once they have several true leaves. Begin harvesting leaves about 70-80 days from sowing, picking regularly and pinching flower buds to keep growth bushy and aromatic.</p>

Sow from September to February in the plains and through spring-summer in the hills. Lemon balm germinates best in mild 20-25°C weather, so avoid peak summer heat.
